Krystal Resorts Scam Prevention Team Suggests High Alert: Credit Card Restaurant Thieves

Krystal Resorts Scam Prevention Team suggests high alert: Credit Card restaurant thieves.   Krystal Resorts Scam Prevention Team says going out to eat is something that everyone should consider at least once in awhile traveling in Mexico.   There are many beautiful restaurants at the resort that are engaging and match the mystique and elegance of the Mexican landscape.

Visitors will enjoy a wide selection of foods that are native, fresh, and some that are quite unusual while traveling.  Many visitors will venture outside of the resort to explore the native countryside.  While traveling there are many different types of restaurants.   Some small, some more elegant and some rather informal.

Krystal Resorts Scam Prevention Team warns to be alert, there is one type of scam and fraud that is quite common in every country of the world, and it involves waiters or wait staffs that lift credit card information from consumers when they are paying their bill.  Often what happens is the unsuspecting traveler will provide their credit card as payment for a meal, while the waiter takes off with the credit card information.

Sometimes the wait staff or other representative has a hidden scanner they use to scan the credit card more than one time to charge the visitor extra for their meal, thereby ripping them off for various amounts of money’s, up to thousands of dollars.  They can use this data to create fake checks, to withdraw money from ATM’s and to perform other illegal transactions.

Krystal Resorts Scam Prevention Team says that the visitor will not know what has happened until they try to use their ATM or debit card later, and find out they have no money in their account.  To help prevent this type of fraud, it is important that you keep your credit card with you at all times.  Ask to have the payment made at your table, or bring your credit card with you to the front of a restaurant and watch as your bill is being paid.

Never let anyone walk off with your credit card unattended.   You should always have an alternative to this to protect your valuable credit card information.   Become your own scam awareness professional and stay on high alert and you will enjoy your vacation rather than become a victim of fraud or theft.
